A triumphant finish!

ImageToday was the last session of our second technique – Paper Mosaics.

Even though the technique was challenging, everyone persevered (with the help of some tweezers and cake!) and the results were really vibrant and interesting. The work produced was even better than I had imagined and I can’t wait to see them exhibited next year alongside the work from the next stage of the project.

When we were chatting during the sessions we talked about how to find pleasure in doing such a focused activity. I think that it has to be about trying to enjoy the process and not thinking too much about the results and almost using the intense focus as a way to calm thoughts; although some people found the activity quite tiring and agreed that it is definitely a ‘bit at a time’ type of activity.

This reminded me about something I’d read a while…
